


The second series, Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls, premiered in Japan on January 8, 2018. The prize: the annihilation of the other and the staunch support of the Tokugawa government for the winning clan for the next thousand years. A first visual has been revealed for the anime adaptation, showing Hachiro Koga and Hibiki Iga. The first series (Basilisk: The Kga Ninja Scrolls) premiered in Japan on the television stations TV Saitama, TV Kanagawa, Chiba TV, Mie TV, KBS, AT-X, Jidaigeki Senmon Channel, and others between April and September 2005. Two warring ninja clans, each supporting a son of Hidetada Tokugawa as the next shogun, send ten representatives each to fight to the death for the possession of a scroll. The story continues in The Ouka Ninja Scrolls, set 10 years after the war. Interestingly, doesnt include any actual Basilisks the title is. Another sequel the anime series Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls was released by Kodansha in 2018. In The Kouga Ninja Scrolls, 10 ninja of the Kouga clan face 10 ninja of the Iga clan to decide which clan would succeed the Tokugawa family and reign for the next 1,000 years. Basilisk is followed by a sequel manga, The Yagyu Ninja Scrolls, though it features only a few characters from Basilisk among an otherwise all-new cast of characters. A new serialization has been decided to start in this month’s Young Magazine No. A TV anime was aired in 2005 that is still popular today. The manga has 5 volumes and has sold over 1.7 million copies. Manga author Masaki Segawa wrote a manga adaptation of the original Koga Ninpochou under the title Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls (Basilisk Kouga Nippouchou) in Young Magazine. Yamada wrote it as a sequel to the 1958 novel Kouga Ninpouchou (The Kouga Ninja Scrolls) by Futaro Yamada, well known for his Ninpouchou series. The novel Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls (Basilisk: Ouka Ninpouchou) by Masaki Yamada will get an anime adaptation!
